I know this sounds obvious, but it is good to see it in writing.  Read about it Here.

Why it is BEST to eat during the day

Dr. Fred Bisci talks about why it is best to eat during the day rather than later in the evening.

How am I losing the weight???

Here is what I am doing to lose the weight, or as I like to say “ improve my health”.
Basically, this is a Cleansing or Healing program. Keep in mind this is something I have adapted from my study on regaining health. I am not a doctor, nor play one on TV. I started with the goal of doing this for 7 days. Then, after 7 days, I just kept going because I felt so much better. My approach has been to Feed my body the fuel it needs to heal itself and Cleanse my body with the water to flush out the toxins.
The idea is simply to feed your body allot of Alkalizing food in a way that is easy for it to process and absorb. This will give your body a rest because it won’t have to work as hard to digest and break down the food in order to utilize the nutrients in the food. This way of eating will help your body become less Acidic and, as a result of an improved (Alkaline) PH Balance, the body will begin to release the toxins that are stored in the cells of your body.
I have broken down what I am doing into 6 easy steps:
Step 1. Pray
I believe that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and I came to the realization that I have not been a good steward of what the Lord had given me. I had to repent and ask for healing from what I did to my body. I truly believe that the results that I have seen are simply that the Lord is blessing the actions that I have taken. My focus every day is to put God first in what I’m doing.
Step 2. Feed your Body

I typically drink 2 Green Smoothies every day. I have a smoothie for Breakfast and I have a large green salad for lunch (with lots of raw veggies added). For dinner, I have another smoothie as well as a small green salad. I try and eat as much vegetables as I can and use the best option for salad dressing as I have available…such as fresh lemon and olive oil, fresh salsa, guacamole (avocado has good fats, and your not eating it at every meal), just get creative…Also try other salads, like tabouli, Lebanese salad, etc. You need to make it an enjoyable and pleasurable experience.
***During this time you will want to cut 4 things out of your diet: Sugar or refined sugar substitutes, Bread or refined flours, Dairy products and Meat. Also, only drink Water and or Green Tea
Remember! this is not necessarily for the rest of your life, you are just giving a gift to your body…a time to rest and heal.

Basic “Green Smoothie” recipe that I use is:
In a blender, combine the following:
250 ml or 8oz of bottled water
2 – 3 handfuls of Spinach (preferably Organic)
1 banana
Blend till smooth. about 30 seconds
(It will be emerald green, but will taste like a banana!)
(This basic recipe makes approximately a 16 oz. smoothie.)
The banana makes it have a wonderful, creamy and smooth texture. However, if you don’t like banana, just add some of your favorite fruit. To that basic recipe, you can also add other fruits to taste such as: Strawberries, blueberries, mango, slice of lemon, etc. I enjoy Frozen Berries in my smoothies!

***TIP: Blend harder things (frozen Berries) with the water first, then add the other ingredients.

After you are comfortable, try other greens. Like romaine Lettuce, Kale, Chard and Cilantro ( little bit to taste)
Really at this point, just put other things that you like or could be helpful. IE. Goji Berries, other Superfoods, Hemp seeds, Flax seeds, Coconut oil, Etc…
if you are hungry you can have another, I have heard stories of people drinking 3-4 liters a day! Now, if you are drinking that many green drinks a day, you need to watch the amount of fruit you are eating. I would find a good savory green drink recipe to alternate with a green drink that has fruit, throughout the day.
there are several of each in the Green for Life Book.
Step 3. Water
Water is VITALLY Important! I drink generally about 3 – 4 liters of water a day. I also have started drinking 16oz when I get up in the morning when I first get up. You need to Flush the Toxins from your body! Just have a bottle around and sip on it all day. Before you now it, you will be done!
Additionally, in order to increase my PH level (to 7.36) I have been adding a product called Supergreens to 2 liters of water a day. This helps to alkalize the body.
Step 4. Elimination
After doing this plan for some months I realize that this should really be step 2!  It did it at the beginning and I know others that have had breakthroughs in their weight loss since doing this step. Water will help you do this, but you really need to be having 3 good bowel movements a day (on average). Let’s be clear, this is where 95% of the weight (excess fat) is coming out of your body. When beginning a cleanse, I would recommend a Colon Cleanse or a series of hydrotherapy sessions to expedite the elimination of toxins and the reduction of any detoxification symptoms. The less constipation or build up there is in a colon, the easier it is for the body to get rid of the toxins, and the better you will feel.
Step 5. Oxygen
Your cells need more oxygen to help cleanse. Try a good walk in the morning…where you get a sweat going. Also, try to include a Cleansing Breath routine. Inhale (count to 5), Hold your Breath (count to 20), Exhale (Count to 10). Do this Cleaning Breath about 10 times a day. (I learned about this from the Anthony Robbins, Living Health Series)
Step 6. Stop Eating after 8:00 p.m.*
*This time will be different for everyone, as people go to sleep at varying times. Basically though, I try not to eat at least 3 – 4 hours before going to bed. This will help your body to get better rest and not have to work so hard at digestion. If your still hungry, DRINK Water.
Basic Daily Routine
Wake: Drink 16oz of water
Morning: 30 – 60 minute walk (try doing the breathing exercises during the walk)
Breakfast: Green Smoothie
Lunch: Green Salad
Snack: piece of fresh Fruit
Dinner: Green Smoothie
7 – 8 pm – Stop eating
As you’ll see, I’ve included many Green Leafy Vegetables (the most nutritious foods) into my diet as possible. These are KEY to healing your body naturally. By blending or juicing, you can get many times the greens into your diet compared to eating a simple salad. Green Drinks or Green Smoothies can be very basic, or very elaborate, depending on your personal preference. The idea is to make the Green Smoothie tasty and delicious and as easy as you like so that you can get more greens into your eating plan. (Fyi: Of all the greens, Spinach is my very favorite, only because it combines so well with fruit. The smoothie will taste like the fruit you’ve added to the Spinach….you won’t taste the spinach at all!)
